Difference between free shipping module and free Shipping inside configuration

Is it possible to have an explanation about the difference if i use just the free shipping set inside Clicshopping and the module Free shipping ?

The module allow you to display a free shipping element inside the shipping page and it enhance the initial configuration. It's better to include inside your shop.

I think this module is important because you can add an image inside the shipping selection and it can help to transform the order into sell
